Vorse House Beachcomber Show

Provincetown Arts Society

UPDATE: I'm pleased to announce that the red maple footstool sold the very first day of the show.

I was honored to have one of my recent pieces (Red Maple Footstool) on exhibit at the Mary Heaton Vorse House in Provincetown, MA for the "Beachcombers Then and Now" show. The opening reception was July 4th, 2025 and I believe the show runs through August 10th, 2025.

This show is a benefit to raise funds for the Provincetown Art Society and the Beachcomber's Restoration Fund.

The Vorse House is a magnificent example of old Provincetown when houses were handmade using salvaged materials. Long before it was connected to the rest of Cape Cod by a road every resource was precious, which is one reason why there are so few surviving old boats. It was lovingly and faithfully renovated and preserved by it's owners in 2020 to share with the community at large.

The Beachcombers is an association of artists that's been around over 100 years. The fund is to help raise the existing building to avoid being destroyed by rising waters and ever-stronger storms.
