A simple long bench made from a red oak log from a tree my neighbor cut down a few years ago. The top was carved by a hand held wood plane, the surface was sealed with a few coats of natural tung oil and the outside was torched using the Sugi Ban method to keep it from rotting. This bench sits in a special place in our backyard ideal for contemplating the nature that surrounds it -- so long as the mosquitoes aren't too bad. I can make one like it for you, but it must be picked up locally. Shipping would be impractical since it's super heavy.
