Handling is the cost of the materials and time it takes to get something ready to ship and to deliver it to the carrier. Alternatively, you may elect to have your purchase delivered to you.
Materials
I try very hard to avoid using any plastic or styrofoam as packing materials unless I've received it from someone else. I will use whatever packing materials are available and appropriate at the time, which may be (clean) rags, (clean) old towels, wood shavings, old boxes, etc. My intent is to pick the best options to ensure the safe arrival of the item with as little negative impact to the environment as possible. If I do need to purchase materials or a box, I will get your approval first since you'll have to cover the cost.
Assembly
Please note that some assembly and setup may be required once you have received shipment. I will always include instructions and all the parts necessary (though not the tools).
