Woodworking is really the process of removing the wood you don't need one micron at a time with sandpaper. If you don't like tedious, wearysome manual labor, woodworking isn't for you. I rounded the front edge so that when you sit, it doesn't cut into the back of your legs. The spalting (blue-gray marks) were noticeable, but not in a good way so I downplayed them by adding the dye.
