Demi Lune Table Legs

The oak slab the legs came from was a cross section of a crotch where the tree was split in two. The tree (and bark) never stop growing, so as the tree gets older, the density of the wood increases and curls in on itself, resulting in some beautiful patterns. See the Oak Candleholders for an example of this. Cleaning out the bark was a labor of love, but if I didn't clean it out, it would eventually fall off.
