Custom work for an artist who wanted to join some aromatic cedar together with some decorative splines made from a contrasting wood to use in a sculpture. The artist wanted the bark to remain on the live edge, adding a degree of difficulty to the work. The wood for the splines is Ipe and aside from the bark, the items were finished with a hardwax oil to protect and enhance.
