Oak Candle Holders Faces

These photos demonstrate how the pieces once fit together in the tree. The two trunks were touching each other at the rough points but never grew entirely together, which is where I got the title for the overall work. At the bottom of the vertical cut you can see wood growing from the left into the right: that's the little tab that sticks out of the front of one of the holders.
